Who was appointed as new MD & CEO of MCX - Balasubramaniam Venkataramani
Among the Important Appointments, On 13th Feb 2015,
Commodity exchange MCX appointed Balasubramaniam
Venkataramani as new Managing Director and CEO.
Balasubramaniam Venkataramani was serving as BSE's Chief
Business Officer at the time of appointment. This Post was
vacant since May last year after the resignation of MD & CEO
Manoj Vaish.
Name of the Women Scientists selected for Dr.Y. Nayudamma Memorial Award 2014 - Tessy Thomas and Geeta Varadan
Two women scientists have been selected for Dr.Y.
Nayudamma Memorial Award 2014 and will be joint
recipients of this prestigious award. Name of these scientists
are Tessy Thomas and Geeta Varadan. Both have been
chosen for their significant contributions in the fields of
missile technology and remote sensing.
Tessy Thomas is Director of Advanced Systems Laboratory of
DRDO and Project Director (Mission) Agni V while Geeta
Varadan is director of Advanced Data Processing Research
Institute of ISRO.
Dr.Y. Nayudamma Memorial Award was established in 1986
in memory of distinguished chemical scientist and
internationally renowned leather technologist Yelavarthy
have made important contributions to the development of
science and technology.
