Padma Awards 2014

President Pranab Mukherjee announced the names of Recipients of this year’s Padma awards. He approved conferment of 127 Padma Awards including one duo case (counted as one). Padma Awards, the country’s highest civilian awards, are conferred in three Categories viz. Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. The list comprises two Padma Vibhushan, 24 Padma Bhushan and 101 Padma Shri Awardees.

2014 Padma Vibhushan Awards :

These are awarded for exceptional and distinguished service. This year both the awardees were from Maharashtra:

Dr. Raghunath A. Mashelkar for Science and Engineering
Shri B.K.S. Iyengar for Yoga

BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd) invites applications from the eligible Indian candidates for the upcoming jobs of Junior Accounts Officers (JAO) through an open competitive examination to be held on 22nd Feb 2015 on All India basis.

Following are details of these upcoming govt jobs :

Junior Accounts Officers (JAOs) -

Total Posts : 962 posts (UR-389, SC-195, ST-118, OBC-260) (PWD - 44),
Pay Scale : Rs.16400-40500 (IDA Pattern),
Age Limit : 20-30 years. Relaxation as per rules.,
Educational Qualification : Applicants must possess any one of the following qualifications as on 31st Dec 2014 - (i)A qualified Chartered Accountant; or (ii) A qualified Company Secretary; or (iii)A qualified Cost & Works Accountant; or (iv) M.Com (Master of Commerce).
Selection Procedure : The mode of selection is through an All India Competitive Examination

Application Fee : Rs.1000/- to be paid online. No Fee payable by SC/ ST/ PH candidates.
